DOACM recently had the pleasure of crossing paths with Ms. McDonald-Constable on the professional networking site LinkedIn. One thing led to another (as it usually does online) and after a short, lovely email exchange, it became evident to us that we needed to get the word out about Jill. For all of those enquiring cyberminds out there, this what you should know about this ever so unique authoress: She writes Westerns (the kind that would make John Wayne smile broadly and say, “Well if this isn’t a damn fine novel, I sure as heck don’t know what is!”). She pens said novels under the pseudonym Amos Carr (see her web site for the intriguing explain) and she is only 1 of 4 novelists that compose Westerns for the UK publisher Robert Hale.

Jill McDonald-Constable, we here at DOACM invite you to take a bow and wish you all the best of success with your current and future Western endeavours!

The following could very well be the video of the year. Current GOP Presidential candidate and prominent bigot Michele Bachmann, thinking she’s about to have an innocent exchange with 8 year old Elijah, whilst promoting her new book (probably about bigotry) in South Carolina, gets a quiet little reminder from this adorable child, that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being gay.

Elijah, DOACM considers you a hero. You and your Mom have our full support!!!

FF are a folk/pop group from Seattle. This is the ingenious video for their uber lovely/insanely catchy track White Winter Hymnal. Enjoy!

At DOACM, we have an unabashed love for language. So when we come across artists who are able to turn ordinary nouns, adjectives, etc. into works of art, we stand up and take notice, along with making sure others do as well.

That said, meet LA-based spoken word sensation Shihan. He’s been on the HBO show “Def Poetry” multiple times…and you’re about to see why.

This new documentary presents a fascinating first hand account, about the year 2010 at the NY Times, as told by the managing editors. It was produced by the team that created “An Inconvenient Truth” and “Food, Inc.”

Ms. Zandvakili makes her 2nd appearance on DOACM. This footage is from a recent reading she gave, in L.A., to promote both her poetry and her memoir, which was 15 years in the making.

Long before Scoots and Tiz created DOACM, they began another epic project. Over a year after writing the rough draft (in a shoebox-sized apartment, in the dead of winter, in South Korea), AOP is officially complete, registered with the WGA-West and ready for the eyes of a producer.

Prepare yourself, the “Ben Hur” of romantic comedies is on its way….
